Subproject 1.5

Whole-genome cartography of steroid hormone NR binding sites in endometrial cell lines and tissue

This sub-project has the objective to establish the detailed map of liganded and unliganded steroid hormone nuclear receptors – androgen receptor (AR), ERα, ERβ, PRA and PRB binding sites in normal and pathological tissues of endometrium and cell lines representing models for endometrium. Specific attention will be paid to differential pattern of NR target regions in endometrium of fertile and infertile women and in endometriotic tissue samples. To reveal possible role of xenoestrogens and other environmental agents (including smoking) on receptivity of endometrium the map of liganded aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) in chromatin will be established in appropriate cell lines.
