Subproject 1.2

The risk factors for endometriosis remain largely undefined. Therefore, the present sub-project is dedicated to the following major objectives:
1) to highlight the genetic predisposition factors for endometriosis by applying GWAS approach for inherited SNPs and CNVs determination, and
2) to study genetic and epigenetic alterations of local tissue pertained to the course and complications of the disease. These studies allow better understanding of endometriosis etiological mechanisms and create novel ideas for its diagnostics and treatment.
